Changing fortunes of Sargus soldierflies

Following the recent release of our photo ID guide to soldierflies in genus Sargus, dipterist Ruud van der Weele got in touch via Twitter to say that he had recently seen a presentation showing that all species of Sargus were declining in the Netherlands, with the exception of S. bipunctatus. Ruud asked whether there was any evidence of similar declines in Sargus species in the UK. Head over to Martin Harvey's blog for some possible answers!
