Bee-fly Watch 2018 - when will the first bee-fly appear?

We had a fantastic response to Bee-fly Watch last year, with over 1,300 records - see the 2017 summary page.

And we're now ready and waiting for Bee-fly Watch 2018 - will we beat last year's total? Will anyone see a bee-fly before 2 March, the earliest record last year? And more importantly, will everyone enjoy getting outside and watching bee-flies? I hope so.

You can add your bee-fly sightings to iRecord in the usual way, and you can join our 2018 Bee-fly Watch Activity on iRecord. And for lots more info on bee-flies, including a downloadable identification guide, see the bee-fly page on this website.
